Our take
I picked up the Professional Open Series 690 sand wedge mainly because of the price, and it's been a pleasant surprise. The forged bronze head gives a soft, solid feel at impact, and the 56-degree loft works well for bunker shots. The stiff steel shaft provides good control, and the Lamkin grip is standard but comfortable. At 36 inches, it fits nicely in my bag. My main concern is the bronze finish might wear unevenly, and there's no bounce info, so it may not suit all sand conditions. Still, for the money, it's a decent wedge.
